The skin suffering from acne does require sun protection. Acne and inflammation make the skin sensitive and more prone to sun damage, which makes sunscreen an essential need for such skin types. But most of the time, using a sunscreen is avoided by acne patients because a bad formulation can worsen the condition.

Directions for Use

• Apply Fixderma Shadow A SPF 30 Gel liberally & evenly on the face, neck and exposed areas of skin 20 to 30 minutes prior to sun exposure.
• Further reapplication is only necessary after activities such as swimming or after excessive sweating.

Ingredients

• ALOE VERA: It is a natural moisturizer which hydrates the skin without imparting any greasiness. Aloe vera helps fight acne and sunburns. It is also known to reduce the blemishes associated with acne and inflammation, giving a clear skin tone.
• NEO HELIOPAN HYDRO: NEO HELIOPAN HYDRO(Phenylbenzimidazole Sulfonic Acid) is a water-soluble, highly effective UVB absorber with an UV absorbance of min. 920 at around 302 nm, which forms water-soluble salts with the addition of a base. Practically odorless, excellent stability, compatible with other ingredients and packaging. Excellent photostability and safety profile. Very suitable for water-based transparent sunscreen products.
• BENZOPHENONE-4: It is within a group of aromatic ketones that contain both UVB and UVA absorbing properties that filter and block out harmful UV rays. It is quite effective in not only filtering out UV rays but also preventing other ingredients from being degraded by the sun. It does not penetrate the skin to a large degree but allows for other ingredients to do so.
• ZINC OXIDE: ZINC OXIDE(micronized) works by scattering the sun’s rays, which prevents potentially damaging ultraviolet radiation from getting to the skin. The finely powdered mineral formula used in sunscreen does two things—reflect and absorb. A protective zinc oxide layer on top of the skin reflects and absorbs the harmful UVA (also considered to be carcinogenic) and UVB rays such that they don’t reach your skin.
• NIACINAMIDE: It is helpful for severe acne, especially inflammatory forms like papules and pustules. Niacinamide helps build cells in the skin while also protecting them from environmental stresses, such as sunlight, pollution, and toxins. Niacinamide reduces inflammation, which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions.
